![]() ![]() Overall we had a very pleasant evening, and will certainly return there in the future. When it came time to settle the bill, Melissa had arranged to have the cost of the clams deducted from the total, a very nice touch. ![]() I had the broiled crab cakes, and they too were excellent. Her entree was a broiled seafood combo that she pronounced excellent in every way. My coconut shrimp appetizer was very good. ![]() My wife had steamed clams for an appetizer - clams that had not been cleaned and were gritty. Melissa was a jewel of a server - attentive, polite, and helpful. The menu was clear and our server Melissa had prompt answers for all of our questions. The noise was not helped by the over-amplified musicians in the tiki bar area. Anyway, we were seated in a very noisy, very crowded outdoor seating area. I expected to have a wait for a table, but I want an accurate estimate, not a boldfaced lie. 50 minutes later, our pager buzzed, and that was transgression #1 - tell me the real amount of time I will have to wait. On arrival there was a very long line, especially for a Thursday night, but the front end person assured us it would only be a 20 minute wait. We looked up their online menu (the website is good), and set off. Menu consists of local fresh fish, fresh seafood, crab cakes, all-you-can-eat Alaskan snow crab legs, pasta, poultry and Certified Angus Beef. We have been going to the Fenwick Island area on vacation for years, but never had tried Harpoon Hanna's before, so this year we decide to splurge a little. So as long as you don't mind overpaying, worth a visit. In our large party we ordered the prime rib (some very large lumps of fat), the coconut shrimp and ribs (good), bourbon salmon (rated well), grilled mahi mahi and grilled tuna (good but needed side vegetables not just a baked potato accompanying it), fish and chip platter (not so highly rated). Overall, would have to say the meal was good, but way overpriced. I'm not a coconut fan so did not try the coconut muffins, but others said they were very good (the blueberry, meanwhile, tasted like it was made from a mix). The place is huge! Based on that alone, I was not expecting a good experience - service wise or taste wise, but the experience exceeded expectations (although the bar was set pretty low). We also got seated on the outside deck on the water so that was also a nice bonus. Were told it would be a 45 minute wait, but it turned out to not even be 10 (and we were a party of 10). Friendly and efficient service has been the foundation of our success and our management staff is always available for any suggestions or concerns. We went on a Monday night and the place was packed. Our focus is to remain an affordable, casual restaurant while also offering the highest quality food and beverages available.
